Manage sponsored research funds for the department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics. Develop and prepare grant budget projections and recommendations; monitor and approve expenditures and subcontracts. Assist the Department Manager and faculty principal investigators in making financial decisions related to grants to ensure grant stipulations and agreements are met. Develop various financial reports to track expenses on grants. Develop and implement grant-related policies and procedures.
Reporting to the Director, Cybersecurity Detect, Response, and Forensics in the Global Office of Information Security (GOIS), the Team Lead/Principal Security Engineer leads a team of information security professionals through activities relating to monitoring, detecting and responding to cyber security events. In addition, the Team Lead is responsible for the development and oversight of the NYU cyber security incident response plan to ensure team members are effectively led. This role maintains operational efficiencies throughout the entire process/life cycle from the initial cyber security event, through the analysis of the incident, and the determination of a potential breach/impact. As the NYU technical hands-on leader for the Cyber Incident Response Team, this role works with multiple technical platforms, interfaces with other teams within NYU IT, GOIS, and in schools, campuses, business units and/or any external partner(s) including managed service partners. This role is a key resource for protecting NYU's information assets, brand, and reputation from a cyber security breach/event while managing the overall detection-response-forensics process.
This position provides analytical and technical support of systems and services supported by the Office of the Registrar. The Business Analyst ensures the accurate entry of new records and management of existing ones in SIS/Albert and the identification and remediation of duplicate records and insuring that all sources of data are following designated data policies. This position performs functional and security analysis and configuration of multiple systems, acts as the liaison to technical support teams, and serves on implementation teams for future systems. The position supports the systems’ administrative and self-service users with training, reporting, and troubleshooting, and performs tasks integral to the central use of the systems. This position develops, documents, and maintains standards, policies and procedures, and creates new business processes or enhancements to existing processes that promote essential activities.
The Business Analyst is responsible for providing functional support to Enrollment Management and units across the University for the University student information system (SIS) and other ancillary systems/applications. This position oversees the management of data integrity, provides training, and creates documentation. The Business Analyst maintains advanced knowledge of University system functionality, analyzes business processes/procedures, and identifies dependencies and implications of change to various functional areas and integration points with other systems. The Business Analysts is expected to design, configure, develop, test, implement and maintain approved applications, including reports, interfaces, and data conversions. They must communicate and coordinate effectively and professionally with business owners to ensure accurate understanding and acceptance of system configurations.
Provide technical support for assigned area of operation in the Department of Film & Television, Tisch School of the Arts. Operate a wide variety of production or post production equipment including specialized equipment requiring significant training. Instruct students and faculty on operating equipment; conduct individual and group training workshops, and demonstrate use of equipment. Advise students and faculty on equipment that would best meet their technical needs. Perform skilled maintenance and extensive repairs on complex equipment and parts.
Manage the day-to-day security of all technology endpoints that support the administrative and business functions of the College. The position will oversee the design and development of network and computer security infrastructure which can meet the needs of the academic, clinical and research programs and which can sustain a distance learning component with global capabilities. Responsibilities include: securing and monitoring computer endpoints, providing technical expertise in support of state-of-the-art computer technology used by faculty and researchers for teaching and research; analyzing and resolving computer security incidents, planning and implementing security updates and patches, testing, maintenance, upgrades and administration of hardware, operating systems and applications; identify, isolate, and resolve potential information security issues to enhance system performance and reliability; and supervising and developing standards for help desk staff.
The position of Campus Safety Officer supports the mission of the Department of Campus Safety to foster and maintain a safe and secure environment for its students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Campus Safety Officers will be required to execute a number of comprehensive and integrated security measures and countermeasures and must be able to adapt physically and psychologically to the changing needs and priorities of the Department of Campus Safety and the University.
Assist with administration and oversight of the College's sponsored research activity. Manage funded grants to ensure accurate accounting, record-keeping, reporting, data analysis, and budgeting. Advise Principal Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning, new funding opportunities, and status of accounts. Interpret funding agency and University guidelines, and terms of grant contracts. Monitor appropriate spending, analyze and revise budgets, and develop financial reports for sponsoring agents to ensure compliance with required grant reporting.
Provide customer service and support across public service desks and Access, Delivery & Resource Sharing Services (ADRSS) units (Circulation, Reserves, Library Privileges, Stacks, Delivery & Resource Sharing Services, and Offsite) in accordance with library policies and workflows. ADRSS Assistants will be assigned to work in other units on a regular basis to meet workflow demands. Duties include but are not limited to: facilitating user services, circulating library materials, processing fees and payments, processing user requests and determining user privileges. Respond to user and visitor inquiries in-person, over the telephone, and via a variety of online environments. Assign and train part-time staff to assist with routine operations of ADRSS units.
This dental assistant position supports the Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities. Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dental students, residents and faculty. Instruct dental students and dental assistant students in techniques and utilization of four-handed dentistry with special needs patients in multiple dental disciplines and infection control. Perform tests; assist with preparing dental castings, dispensing medications and instructions, and performing minor dental and surgical procedures; provide oral surgical assistance to dental residents, students and faculty. Assist in the administration of IV sedation and patient monitoring during surgical procedures. Ensure safe use, disposal, and storage of chemicals or hazardous materials. Maintain patient files and charts, lab work. Serve as clinic receptionist and clinic cashier.
