Position Summary

Discuss, select, plan, and facilitate the completion of an undergraduate student's academic and professional goals as well as provide the student with opportunities to form affiliations with scholars and professionals across disciplines. Counsel students on academic, career, and personal matters for the Department's Applied Psychology Undergraduate Program (APUG). Develop and deliver innovative, dynamic student services and special events, seminars, and workshops. Serve on Department committees related to student affairs.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Psychology, Human Development, Social Sciences or related field

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Counseling or related field.

Required Experience:
3+ years related administrative experience, with at least 3 years working in providing advisement and counseling at the college or university level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars. Ability to manage budgets. Knowledge of standard office software.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $79,111.82. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
