Manage the design and construction of capital improvements and major infrastructure projects for New York University's Planning and Construction Division to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved budgets, schedules and quality standards. Serve as a payroll subject matter expert. Compile, analyze and document issues on payroll and related fiscal activities in order to identify systemic issues or problems and propose solutions. Implement internal control procedures to review and approve payroll expenditures. Assess complexity of payroll issues and determine resolutions; make recommendations to senior department management based on knowledge of payroll; investigate payroll discrepancies and find resolution with appropriate University offices to resolve problem transactions. Manage sponsored research grants, contracts, gifts, and faculty 'start-up' funds. Advise Principle Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning, interpret terms of grant contracts, monitor appropriate spending, analyze and revise budgets, and prepare grant reporting. Provide administrative support to senior faculty, including responding to correspondence and inquiries independent of faculty members' involvement and determining when to escalate matters to their attention; plan and implement seminars, colloquia, and other events.
Oversee and direct day to day operations, programs and services for The Silver Student Experience (Student Affairs) and The Office of Career Design and Social Work Readiness at the Silver School of Social Work.
