Support the creation and distribution of online modules in the Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) Program. Manage project planning and communication needs and coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure that program modules contain appropriate content that aligns with program initiatives. Incorporate baseline efforts that follow WCAG 2.0 guidelines for 508c compliance. Supervise the work content of staff, temps, consultants, and student instructional designers hired on a project-by-project basis.
The Rory Meyers College of Nursing Post-Award Grant Office is recruiting a grant financial analyst to provide day-to-day financial administration and management support. The College has an active research portfolio of awards. This position will oversee budgets and facilitate financial transactions including payroll allocation and effort tracking; implement and assist with developing internal control procedures; provide analyses of grant budgets including discussions on prioritization and programmatic goals; preparation of monthly reconciliations and financial reports; provide guidance to the research community of the College on financial and administrative matters; partner and manage relationships with NYU research offices to ensure smooth workflows; apply and ensure departmental, institutional and federal compliance as applicable. This position will service as a backup for the Grant Administrator position as needed for pre-award tasks.
Support the operation, management, evolution, and security of projects in the Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) Program. Manage office-wide communications projects, programs and events, provide administrative support as part of the 'front office,' and coordinate tasks and deliverables across these hubs. Establish and maintain project plans and schedules to meet needs and objectives, and communicate and report on project progress.
Provide academic advising and learning enhancement activities for students at the Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Monitor students' academic progress and modify student curricula for new and enrolled students at the College. Advocate on behalf of students with academic and personal issues as well as disabilities. Assist the Assistant Dean and Assistant Director with NYU Meyers academic support programs including tutoring, workshops, orientations for students entering clinicals, and peer advising programs.
Perform clerical, secretarial, and general office duties for the Center. Serve as center receptionist, greet visitors, answer telephones, respond to general inquiries and schedule appointments. Perform general word processing, spreadsheet and data entry duties utilizing basic functions. Monitor reporting and data on student attendance and use of the Simulation Center. Prepare simulation rooms for simulation sessions.
Principal Duties:
- Monitor activity and maintain data of open simulation practice and specialty simulations. Track/report on status of student attendance for remediation practice. Monitor and prepare reports on student satisfaction and faculty evaluations. Perform general word processing, spreadsheet and data entry duties; create presentations.
- Answer telephones, greet students, faculty and other visitors. Respond to general inquiries and resolve routine problems, refer specific requests to appropriate staff member. Lead tours for donors and visitors.
- Prepare and clean simulation rooms for each simulation session. Move and/or lift manikins, restock medical/nursing supplies, and simulation equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the CSLC by cleaning manikins, organizing simulation rooms, closets and changing bed linens. Prepare simulated intravenous and oral medications, create patient charts and update patient information in Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Upload class assignments and links for students on NYU Classes course sites. Schedule appointments, undergraduate make-up classes and graduate simulations; and make arrangements for meetings with students.
- Assist faculty during simulation teaching sessions with basic computer operations; turn on simulation equipment and start up Simulation Capture System; report technical issues to supervisors.
- Maintain inventory, stock and distribute supplies.
- Perform other clerical duties: photocopy and fax materials, process forms, maintain office files and records, and pick up or deliver mail or materials, etc.
