Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Prioritize office activities and delegate work to student and/or casual employees. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the office's activities, policies and programs. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems. Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets. Monitor complex department budgets and/or grants.
The Instructional Designer collaborates with content experts and educational technologists to design and develop education courses for NYU Meyers. Work with various departments to create, implement, and assess the effectiveness of course materials delivered in person, in a hybrid format, through blended learning, or online with technological enhancements. Leverage established resources, evidence-based teaching methods, and expertise in educational technology tools like Articulate Storyline 360, while effectively implementing project management practices to lead course development.
Provide technical media support services to the NYU community including equipment repair and installation, event support, and equipment delivery and retrieval. Operate a wide variety of media equipment including specialized equipment requiring significant training. Operate equipment during special events. Assist with pre-installation or pre-event surveys and consultations, discussing with customers their media needs and media capabilities and advising them on the equipment that would best meet those needs. Perform routine maintenance and basic repair of equipment. SHIFT: 7am-3pm, Monday through Friday
The instructional designer works with content experts and educational technologists to design and develop online courses (non-credit/continuing education) for NICHE at NYU Meyers. Works cross-functionally with other departments to leverage resources and enhance the quality of our Continuing Education Knowledge Center. Assembles asynchronous learning materials, contributes to weekly training sessions and organizes course materials in LMS. This is accomplished through the application of evidence-based pedagogy, knowledge of educational technology tools and systems (specifically Articulate Storyline 360), and effective implementation of project management practices.
Provide academic advising and learning enhancement activities for students at the Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Monitor students' academic progress and modify student curricula for new and enrolled students at the College. Advocate on behalf of students with academic and personal issues as well as disabilities. Assist the Assistant Dean and Assistant Director with NYU Meyers academic support programs including tutoring, workshops, orientations for students entering clinicals, and peer advising programs.
The Chief Administrative and Business Officer is a strategic administrative partner to the Meyers College of Nursing’s leadership, the chief financial steward, and the leader of administrative support services. Identify, mobilize, and ensure that the school’s faculty, students, fellows, and staff receive high-quality administrative support in compliance with University policies and procedures, which includes risk mitigation. This role reports to the Dean, with aspects of joint accountability to the Chief Financial Officer of the university on matters related to financial and budgetary responsibility as well as risk management.
Responsibilities for this role include:
Assist with administration and oversight of the College's sponsored research activity. Manage funded grants to ensure accurate accounting, record-keeping, reporting, data analysis, and budgeting. Advise Principal Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning, new funding opportunities, and status of accounts. Interpret funding agency and University guidelines, and terms of grant contracts. Monitor appropriate spending, analyze and revise budgets, and develop financial reports for sponsoring agents to ensure compliance with required grant reporting.
