Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Prioritize office activities and delegate work to student and/or casual employees. May act as work leader to junior clerical support staff. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems. Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets. Monitor complex department budgets and/or grants.
Manage the day-to-day operations of Dentistry’s IT Service Center so that user problems are identified, prioritize, researched, resolved, and followed-up quickly and competently. Plan, priorities, and schedule help desk activities to ensure continuity of service. Ensure that help desk staff use and maintain problem management databases or other help desk software so that help desk activities and performance can be monitored. Analyze help desk enquiries to identify recurring user problems, recommend solutions, and to identify areas where help desk service can be improved. Provide the Assistant Director with analytics on the Service Center’s efficacy relating to ticket and contact metrics regarding telephone call and email response and service ticket resolution. Develop problem solving guidelines, checklists, or other materials to assist help desk staff to respond to user problems that are recurring or routine. Respond to more complex, escalated enquiries from team members. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop help desk staff to ensure that users receive competent and timely service. Train new Service Center staff on standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with them.
Manage day-to-day operations of Teaching Soundstage facilities and technology for Tisch School of the Arts, a full-service production facility which includes a professional sound stage with state-of-the-art technology. Develop and implement operational and creative policies and practices to ensure student productions run smoothly and successfully and that the safety and security of faculty, students, facilities, and technology is realized. Design and conduct technical workshops and seminars in response to and adapted to meet faculty and students' needs; ensure training is consistent with established industry and School curricular standards and related film technologies. Advise students on productions; serve as resource expert recommending production options to students and resolving complex problems. Supervise full- and part-time technical support and student employees. This position consists of an evening work schedule.
Take digital intra-oral and extra oral radiographic imaging (e.g. cone beam computed tomography, and bitewing, periapical, occlusal and panoramic views in analog/film and digital/plate/sensor formats). Review radiographs within guidelines. Process and route imaging related materials. Greet, screen and direct patients. Confirm patient is authorized for a radiographic examination. Provide oral surgical assistance to dental residents and students. Assist in the administration of IV sedation and patient monitoring during surgical procedures. Perform tests; assist with preparing dental castings, dispensing medications and instructions, and performing minor dental and surgical procedures; ensure safe use, disposal, and storage of chemicals or hazardous materials. Assign patients to dental students, within guidelines. Monitor collection of instruments; dispense supplies, disposable materials, instrument and equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the work area and quality and safety standards; ensure proper recycling, disposal of infectious materials and adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance.
The mission of the Office of Graduate Marketing and Admission Consulting (GMAC) is to support and collaborate with NYU graduate and professional programs in order to guide and attract a diverse community of prospective students to the university. Every day, the GMAC Recruitment and Engagement Team assists these students in exploring and understanding the wide array of university programs available to them. Through personalized front-line customer service, we provide tailored support to address their admissions inquiries and concerns and connect them with the school admission experts that align with their interests.
The Graduate Admissions Coordinator plays a crucial role within the Office of Graduate Marketing and Admission Consulting by assisting in managing a team of 15-20 graduate student workers, known as Graduate Admissions Assistants (GAAs). Provide day-to-day support and monitoring of the GAAs assignments and workloads. Contribute to graduate recruitment and outreach efforts through planning, executing, and attending on and off-campus recruitment events and other programs, aimed at marketing NYU graduate and professional programs to prospective students. Serve as a point of escalation for graduate student service issues. Advise prospective students to identify suitable graduate or professional programs aligned with their academic and career goals. Track, analyze, and report on the success of graduate recruitment and engagement efforts utilizing the admissions system, Slate, and other evaluation methods.

Duties include curriculum and course development, planning of course offerings, student advisement and conferral tracking, adjunct faculty hiring, evaluation, and promotion, primarily in, but not exclusive to, the subject areas of writing and communications and for the Academy of Lifelong Learning. Market programs primarily through social media platforms to professional associations and prospective students, and monitor reach and engagement. Create, organize, and manage department events related to course offerings and certificates. Establish industry/professional relationships beneficial to the department. Participate in strategic planning initiatives.
The School of Professional Studies is seeking an Admissions Officer to represent and market NYU to potential students at on-campus and off-campus recruitment events; cultivate relationships with students to encourage a positive response and interest in attending NYU and promote NYU and its schools and programs. Assist with the achievement of University, geographic, and department enrollment targets by encouraging qualified students to apply to NYU. Review and evaluate students' admission applications. Advise students on the application process, University and School programs, academic requirements, financial aid options, housing, and other student services.
Manage day-to-day administrative functions of program(s) for the Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS) within the School of Professional Studies (SPS). Meet departmental needs including assisting with the development of office policies and procedures. Oversee adjunct faculty appointment and payment. Specifically, address questions around NYUSPS policies and procedures, course scheduling, course preparation, etc. Analyze faculty and course data, produce detailed faculty and course reports, and provide recommendations for course and faculty needs. Collect, analyze, and make recommendations based on student feedback data in order to determine student satisfaction. Advise students on issues such as curriculum requirements, course selection, registration, and career exploration. Plan and implement special student programs including prospective student outreach events and new student orientations. Attend School and University sponsored marketing events, information sessions and/or seminars to promote programs. Supervise student employees, make effective recommendations for hiring.
