Arts & Science is seeking a talented Budget Administrator to join the Office of the Dean in Liberal Studies. This individual will administer various budget and financial support functions for Liberal Studies administration. The financial responsibility for this position includes LS operating budgets, and internally and externally funded projects. Manage fiscal and payroll transactions and ensure budgets are within limits. Advise faculty and staff on federal, state, University and School fiscal guidelines and requirements and ensure compliance. Work with the Associate Dean and/or Assistant Director to develop strategies to meet program goals.
Administer the daily operations of the Scene Shop. Supervise the construction, load-in, and strike of productions. For larger productions lead the backstage crews ensuring smooth technical operations during technical rehearsals and performances. Attend production meetings as needed. Oversee troubleshooting and maintenance on Scene Shop equipment and maintain inventory of tools, equipment and shop supplies. Ensure tools and equipment are in safe and proper working order; train all users of the shop in safe work practices and ensure proper safety measures are followed at all times.
