The NYU School of Law is seeking a talented Administrative Secretary to support our Alumni Relations team. The qualified candidate will perform general assistance type office work for the department as their primary responsibility. Support our events and programming. Experience in a higher education administration setting and/or event planning background is also a plus. Perform clerical, secretarial, and general office duties for the department. Serve as office receptionist, answer phones, greet visitors and schedule appointments. Perform general word processing, spreadsheet and data entry duties utilizing basic level functions. Maintain simple department budgets. Delegate routine tasks to students.
The Executor Director of Gift Planning will oversee the University's planned giving program, providing leadership and direction to the planned giving team. This is a leadership role in ensuring that the Gift Planning team meets its comprehensive fundraising goals and is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to enhance contributions utilizing estate planning vehicles such as life income gifts, life insurance, retirement plans, and bequests. The Executive Director is responsible for marketing planned giving to alumni, faculty, friends; identifying, cultivating, and soliciting prospects; increasing the awareness and understanding of planned giving opportunities among staff, university leadership, trustees and volunteers; advising and working with gift officers on closing planned gifts; and overseeing the acceptance and administration of planned gifts. The Executive Director also manages staff devoted to increasing the value of estates, trusts, and other tax-advantaged gifts to the University.
Provide analytical support to Steinhardt; work independently and collaboration with administrative and academic units to evaluate budget modifications, research financial discrepancies independently, analyze financial spreadsheet from departments and perform variance analysis on the Steinhardt expense management and Accounts Payable related activity for all Steinhardt departments . Provide statistical data, investigate, and resolve Account spend inconsistencies. Establish financial records and files and ensure that they are maintained and updated on an ongoing basis. Initiate and respond to various types of inquiries regarding financial policies, procedures, deadlines, etc. Assign, train and review work for a small group of student and/ or casual employees.
Provide academic advisement to current graduate students in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Interpret applicable University policies and procedures, program requirements, acceptable electives, and alternative/substitute courses. Plan and implement recruitment and orientation activities. Facilitate seminars and events that enhance the academic experience and professional development of graduate students. Interface with appropriate University offices and departments to expedite processing of on-line graduation tracking, transfer credit evaluations and reviews, program development and substitutions. Respond to inquiries concerning the School, department, and program offerings.
Manage all analytical and compliance efforts of Sponsored Programs Administration for report development, quality assurance, and analysis. Develop reports to meet the needs of the Principal Investigators (PI's) and departmental administrators, SPA management and staff. The position also supports business process improvements including projects to enhance automation, quality, and efficiency. The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the report results to identify trends and anomalies. Analyze data and reporting solutions to understand business impact, correlations/discrepancies, and to propose changes or solutions. Field all customer requests for reports, analytics and data issues. Act as the primary point of contact on day-to-day system issues, data questions, report queries and works closely with Financial Systems Management, Decision Support Group and IT to resolve the issue or perform analysis/ testing in a timely manner.
The HR Administrator will deliver a superior new hire experience by maintaining quality and high level service throughout the onboarding and offboarding processes. They will ensure the completion and accuracy of all on-boarding and off-boarding tasks according to policies and guidelines while maintaining data integrity. They will work with the Assistant Dean of HR to coordinate and prioritize departmental engagements with a wide range of internal and external constituents and resolve issues as appropriate. Along with the Libraries HR team this person will deliver HR services including; recruitment, communications, and other HR projects as assigned
Responsible for the design, development and creation of user-centered designs for the company's Web sites. Responsibilities include human factors engineering, heuristic evaluations and usability testing for Web-based applications as well as metrics setting and monitoring for assessing the usability of the Web application. Uses a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools. Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements. Works to improve the usability, usefulness, and desirability of Web sites in collaboration with graphic designers, product managers, engineering staff and other Web designers. Conduct user studies, design and perform usability tests, create prototypes, and provide ad hoc user interface consulting. Contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the appeal of the organization's online offerings.
The Web Developer / Web Designer, under the supervision of the Director of Creative, Web, and Media Services, is responsible for:
- Maintenance of the newly built NYU Tandon website in Drupal 8
- Continued maintenance of the GitHub repo, pull requests, approval process, and user management
- Support and development for microsite template built on Wordpress multisit
- Management of student workers
- Working closely with dev-ops for best server deployment
- Maintenance of the overall look and feel of the Tandon brand style guide on Tandon websites
- Maintenance of accessibility standards meeting WCAG 2.0 Level AA Compliance on Tandon websites
- Keeping up to date with latest front-end tools, mastery of mobile-first approach to web development
- Maintenance of Google Analytics and Tag Manager
Recruits, evaluates, and participates in the selection of candidates for admission. Maintains liaison with all organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process. Develops public presentations designed to promote the institution. Advises parents and applicants about educational planning. May possess specialized knowledge in one or more areas of admissions, e.g. international recruitment, multicultural recruitment, web-based recruitment, etc. May have project or program responsibility.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Residential Life, the Director for Residential Staff and Programs is a member of the leadership team responsible for a campus housing operation serving approximately 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students in University-owned and leased residential properties. This position directly supervises three assistant directors who, in turn, supervise the residence hall professional staff. The Director for Residential Staff and Programs leads recruitment, hiring, personnel management, and ongoing professional development for more than 60 department professional staff. This individual collaborates with colleagues responsible for paraprofessional hiring, leadership initiatives, faculty programs and wellness to implement department mission and strategic priorities. Responsibilities of this position include: oversight of residence hall services and processes; interface with university offices including community standards; public safety and facilities; co-advise the Resident Assistant Council; and respond to complex student and parents concerns. The individual in this position is provided a campus apartment and is required to participate in a duty rotation.
The User Experience Analyst is responsible for planning and executing a wide assortment of user experience research (e.g. internal/user-facing, quantitative/qualitative, exploratory/validating) and producing insights that can be carried through the design process. This position works collaboratively with web development, user experience, and public service team members to ensure a user-centered, high-quality user experience (UX) across the Libraries, both in person and online.
