Manage all aspects of a special funding line designated for direct support of student services and programming. A portion of this fund is reserved for use by the Division of Student Affairs, and a portion is available for the Student Government Assembly (SGA) to make recommendations for seed funding new initiatives and one-time expenditures. Work closely with elected student leaders to develop successful and sustainable proposals for funding, and contribute to the education and development of student representatives to better understand their fiscal responsibilities and resources. Work with student leaders to identify other funding sources when appropriate given the nature and scope of their goals and resources. Work closely with a wide range of senior leaders of other university departments and schools to stand up and manage new initiatives, integrate projects with existing resources and services, and assess the impact of new initiatives. Make recommendations to the Senior Vice President of University Life and other senior university leaders about the feasibility, scale, and duration of any initiatives funded through this source.
Oversee and manage all non-academic aspects of the department’s credited internship programs and capstone courses (undergraduate and graduate). Develop and deliver student services and special events, seminars, and workshops to meet the career development needs of students in the IDM (Integrated Design & Media) program, both undergraduate and graduate. Manage alumni relations and engagement for the department. Advise undergraduate and graduate students in the IDM program on academic matters. This position will actively engage relevant companies to grow the department’s visibility across industries. Through the outreach to other organizations, incubators, companies, and alumni, they will cultivate new corporate leads and partnerships to promote and support the department’s academic initiatives.
NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, One Million Black Women: Black in Business Educational Program. In this newly created role, the Associate Director will lead the program including program development, operational strategy, technology and project management, events planning, and process refinement. In conjunction with the school’s leadership and the Academic Director of the program, the Associate Director will strategically develop, implement, and evaluate One Million Black Women: Black in Business Educational Program with particular emphasis on building internal efficiency, long-term sustainability, and strategic partnership enhancement. They will lead initiatives to support the growth and continuous improvement of the program. The Associate Director will also serve as the primary liaison and communications manager for constituents (vice deans, program advisory board, Goldman Sachs program leadership, faculty and staff, scholars, business advisors, and mentors) through consolidation and standardization of all major communications throughout the cycle. The Associate Director will establish and manage day-to-day operations, project management and build an administrative team focusing on events management and execution, digital communications, and general administration of the program.
As a critical member of the campus community, the Student Success Specialist will serve as an advocate charged with helping students navigate campus resources and resolve issues as part of a coordinated effort to ensure students thrive and persist to graduation. This position will practice data-driven outreach, pro-active resource referral, and timely/holistic interventions to meet the needs of students, especially those with complex issues that may span multiple offices/areas. The position will generate data and reports to help identify barriers to student satisfaction, retention and academic progression, engage in outreach to and documentation of students identified as at risk, and support university personnel who work with students encountering institutional challenges. The position will work collaboratively with offices across the university (e.g. Registrar, Financial Aid, Bursar, Student Affairs, the Schools and Academic Advising units) to assist students in resolving issues, navigating support, and managing complex cases that may affect persistence, satisfaction, and graduation. The role works directly with students, utilizing systems and tools such as NYU Connect (Starfish by Hobsons) and Albert SIS (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) to ensure data-driven practices, appropriate documentation and holistic case management. All efforts will support and advance strategic university goals and measures, including first-year retention, student satisfaction and belonging, and the 6-year graduation rate.
Coordinate stocking and re-stocking of sales floor. Review sales and perform regular inventories to determine reorder needs within guidelines. Coordinate a variety of activities between buying office and department manager. Coordinate daily sales floor/stock room operations within guidelines (e.g., train, assign and review work of student and temporary employees; arrange work schedules and coordinate work flow). Assist with receiving (e.g. process incoming stock for sales floor or move to stock location). Assist manager with scheduling and returns process.
Arts & Science is seeking a talented Administrative Aide II to join the Department of Politics. This individual will perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Prioritize office activities and delegate work to student and/or casual employees. May act as work leader to junior clerical support staff. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems. Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets. Monitor complex department budgets and/or grants.

Ensure all positions have clear competencies and performance goals which are assessed annually, and align with GEMSS overarching strategic plan. Ensure regular feedback opportunities are available for employees, and ensure consistent and relevant professional development opportunities are provided. Provide framework structures for managers across GEMSS to support staff so that they are productive, consistent, inclusive, caring, and committed performers, fully developing their potential and creating an informed workforce.
Arts & Science is seeking a talented Academic Advisor, Juniors and Transfer Students to join the College of Arts & Science. This individual is a member of the College Advising team, specifically the New Students Team, reporting to the Associate Director of Transfer Student Advising. This position will focus on creating innovative programs and services for juniors and new transfer students in the College. They will play a lead role in the development and implementation of comprehensive transfer orientation and advising, transfer and junior student leader development, and junior-year class activities & programming. This person will assist with collecting and analyzing retention and student satisfaction data in an effort to recommend new programs and services to meet the changing needs of juniors and transfer students. The advisor will provide an overview of curriculum, policies and procedures for all of their advisees. They will also collaborate with colleagues across Admissions, Registrar and other NYU schools departments, and the Center for Student Life to facilitate successful execution of programs and processes. They will analyze data received through student inquiries, market research, and input and recommend new programs and courses to meet changing needs.

Develop administrative and technical policies and procedures to ensure security and integrity of data. Write, maintain and enforce IT security policies. Analyze hardware and software to ensure seamless and uninterrupted operations.Ensure systems, applications, and data are secure from unauthorized access. Coordinate, test and document system upgrades and migrations. Develop multi-year plans to replace hardware and software. Research, test and evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for improvements/upgrades. Manage support for the application to access NYU OGS (international students’ database). Administer Active Directory, ticketing system and DNS. Liaise with central NYU IT server administrators to coordinate maintenance, installation and configurations. Manage support for the application to access the SUNAPSIS database.

Lead, train, and assist building service staff in inspecting, operating, maintaining and repairing building systems and equipment to perform safely and efficiently; respond to and complete client work requests; delegate tasks and work assignments to staff; ensure complaince with guidelines and work rules; perform preventive maintenance duties and routines, and provide other building-related services as required. Assist in collecting data, implementing tasks and maintaining data for a work order system.
