Serve as a payroll subject matter expert. Compile, analyze and document issues on payroll and related fiscal activities in order to identify systemic issues or problems and propose solutions. Implement internal control procedures to review and approve payroll expenditures. Assess complexity of payroll issues and determine resolutions; make recommendations to senior department management based on knowledge of payroll; investigate payroll discrepancies and find resolution with appropriate University offices to resolve problem transactions. Analyze and reconcile per pay period and liability remittances. Keep abreast of all federal and state payroll tax law changes. Serve as tier 2 escalation for employee payroll questions.
Manage day-to-day activity of assigned clinics, ensuring patient records are completed, encounter forms are tracked for billing, and fees are collected; develop new office guidelines and procedures; ensure patient care is delivered in a timely and appropriate manner; collaborate with dental students and faculty to resolve patient problems; authorize special payment arrangements and approve discounts; supervise staff, and administer budgets.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Central Dental Laboratory and Implant Management, the Dental Laboratory Administrator manages daily activities in the College of Dentistry’s Dental Laboratory, including quality control, ensure adherence to standards and practices to maximize safety and operational effectiveness. The Dental Laboratory Administrator will set and monitor production goals and develop/analyze metrics for leadership to assess laboratory effectiveness; instruct and collaborate with providers (student and faculty) on techniques, protocols, and esthetics; and effectively manage dental laboratory cases.
