Conduct clinical assessments with students to evaluate seriousness of presenting problems and develop appropriate treatment plans. Provide students with short-term psychotherapy, conduct group therapy, provide referrals for long-term treatment. Conduct risk assessments, manage high risk situations, utilize crisis intervention skills, and provide referrals and concrete resources.
Coordinate outreach activities for student population. Conduct workshops, consult with faculty and school administrators, and respond to special needs of student population.
Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Prioritize office activities and delegate work to student and/or casual employees. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the office's activities, policies and programs. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems. Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions. The Clinical Applications Administrator is responsible for the ongoing support of NYUCD's Electronic Health Record system, Practice Management System, PACS, and all other related clinical applications that together comprise or support the longitudinal patient record. Responsibilities include application installation and integration; application configuration; application upgrades and patching; application troubleshooting; application security; application security access management; and application monitoring, backup and recovery. The Clinical Applications Administrator is also responsible for report design, development and implementation.
Assist physicians with physical examinations and minor surgical procedures, as directed. Perform a variety of simple and standard laboratory tests. Operate a variety of laboratory equipment. Prepare and process paperwork for various laboratory tests. Maintain and update patient charts and files. Answer telephone, screen calls and take messages. Respond to patient inquiries, directing them as appropriate or providing routine information on University Health Center (UHC) procedures, hours and services available. Schedule appointments.
