The Academic Advisor is a part of the team responsible for managing the day-to-day academic operations for the Business and Technology Management and Innovation program. This position will advise students in the programs, policies and procedures of the BTM program. The Academic Advisor serves as a member of the advising team, helping students to articulate their academic goals and develop meaningful educational plans. The Academic Advisor will advise students on a wide range of academic issues, facilitating individual and group sessions throughout the academic year. In addition, the adviser works with departmental advisors and other university offices to increase student retention, and would assist in determining undergraduate academic standing issues.

This individual will administer various budget and financial support functions for Liberal Studies administration. The financial responsibility for this position includes LS operating budgets, and internally and externally funded projects. Manage fiscal and payroll transactions and ensure budgets are within limits. Advise faculty and staff on federal, state, University and School fiscal guidelines and requirements and ensure compliance. Administer the daily operations of the Scene Shop. Supervise the construction, load-in, and strike of productions. For larger productions lead the backstage crews ensuring smooth technical operations during technical rehearsals and performances. Attend production meetings as needed. Oversee troubleshooting and maintenance on Scene Shop equipment and maintain inventory of tools, equipment and shop supplies. Ensure tools and equipment are in safe and proper working order; train all users of the shop in safe work practices and ensure proper safety measures are followed at all times.
