Reporting to the Director of Administration and Operations, the Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives will be a key thought partner in the Center for Data Science to enhance CDS’s reputation and impact. The Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing CDS’s strategic events, projects, communications, initiatives, industry relations, and public relations. In addition, the Associate Director will be tasked to represent and promote CDS in public and private settings to build and enhance relationships with industry partners and collaborators. This position will be a critical part of the CDS Administration and Operations team to meet CDS’s strategic objectives.
5+ years Experience working in higher education institutions and experience in communications, marketing, branding, and/or industry relations.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $115,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
