Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Recruitment Communications works with the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Enrollment and the GPH Office of Communications to help achieve the enrollment goals of the NYU School of Global Public Health through the development and implementation of strategic communications campaigns, strategy, and methodology. The position will be a multidisciplinary communications professional, advancing efforts in print, digital, and events marketing. This is a 24 Month Fixed-Term Position.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years In admissions and/or relevant higher education marketing or communications experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience creating and or editing websites and/or website content.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with Slate or similar CRM in a higher education setting. Ability to distill complex information into accessible messaging for different constituencies. Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills. Strong verbal communication and listening skills. Ability to build strong customer relationships. Experience in managing customer relationships at executive levels. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Detail-Oriented Demonstrated written communication skills. Demonstrates project management skills. Effective leadership skills. Evidence of strong leadership skills and a successful track record of developing others through coaching, mentoring, motivating and training. Interest in advancing change. Ability to analyze and solve problems with innovative, creative solutions. Ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Photo/video editing and production; podcast and/or audio production; graphic design (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite); liquid markup; design and coding of HTML emails and landing pages

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $65,000.00 to USD $115,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
