NYU’s Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Educational Technology in the Learning Science Lab (LSL). As a key role in the LSL, the Associate Director will work with faculty and academic units to build and support a culture of thoughtful pedagogical experimentation. The Associate Director will collaborate with academic units to explore, design, develop, and implement teaching and learning interventions. The position is responsible for leading discussions and projects in collaboration with faculty to create learning experiences for MBA, undergraduate and executive students. The Associate Director serves as the liaison between LSL and academic departments and administrative departments. The Associate Director will work in partnership with the Executive Director to provide leadership and vision in the development of strategic approaches to the meaningful integration of technology into the business school education.
The selected candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree along with 7 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience in leading and managing projects, data analysis, and experience in a higher education environment with educational technology. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and written skills are required. Ability to outreach and internally market services of LSL, solve problems, interact with individuals at all skill levels is also required. Must have familiarity with current and emerging trends in all of the functional business areas, online education, educational technology, and the learning sciences. The selected candidate must have the ability to develop and, implement strategic plans and programs, evaluate staff, develop and implement outreach plans, strong knowledge of Google docs, spreadsheets, and presentations, course management systems, and conversant in social media technologies.
