The Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University (NYU) is seeking a Production Manager to manage and support a variety of productions and events approved by Gallatin’s Office of Special Event during the academic year and summer. Interview, hire, and evaluate performance of student staff. Oversee seamless execution of all Gallatin events, productions, gallery installations, and other bookings in theater and gallery spaces.
Bachelor's degree in Fine or Performing Arts or equivalent experience.
Master of Fine Arts in stage management, lighting, technical direction.
2 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with theatrical productions, event management, administering budgets, and supervising staff.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of industry, local, and national safety standards. VectorWorks, Lightwright, ION lighting console, and basic audio board operation. Ability to read and draft designs, schematics, construction blueprints, and plans.
