Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Inclusive Global Student Leadership and Engagement and under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Global Faculty Engagement and Innovation Advancement, manage and provide strategic direction for the global diversity education and training area within the Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Strategic Innovation spanning across and consulting with the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs and the LGBTQ+ Center. Collaboratively craft institution-wide educational excellence standards, programs, and resources around diversity, equity, and inclusion informed by current research and trends in higher education. Develop, implement, and assess diversity education curriculum for students, staff, and faculty across the university globally; provide oversight of the planning, implementation and evaluation of diversity and education programs; and consult with university stakeholders on diversity training and education-related matters; and provide direction to students, staff and faculty as needed within the context of diversity education. Oversee curricula development and course creation including, for example, the Inclusive Teaching Seminar and Critical Pedagogy Workshop Conduct research, assessment and evaluation of diversity-related programs and initiatives and use evidence-based practices and methods to align diversity-related trainings and educational offerings across the university. Liaise with external partners and stakeholders to strengthen university relationships and expand educational offerings at the university that is accessible to internal and external constituents. Guide professional development plans of staff.
Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Social Sciences, Counseling or related field
Doctoral Degree Ph.D. or equivalent in Education, Social Sciences, or related field strongly preferred.
7+ years relevant experience in diversity training and developing diversity and anti-bias related training curriculum, working with students, faculty, and administrators in the area of multicultural and diversity education within a global context. Demonstrated experience working with faculty in the areas of curriculum development, inclusive teaching, and mentorship. Branding, marketing and assessment of training and diversity education programs. Experience supervising professional staff or managing work teams.
10+ years Previous experience developing and managing diversity education programs or units and facilitating “training of trainers” programs. Experience in global diversity education/training and classroom teaching. Experience and overseeing research and assessment initiatives.

Knowledgeable of emerging trends and theoretical frameworks. Demonstrated experience working with faculty members and creating content within the context of the academy.
