This counseling position serves the student community at the Islamic Center and is based there. We need mental health resources in place to address the social disparities that the pandemic has laid bare especially among our international and racial minority students. This a part-time, permanent position.
Hours: 14 hours per week
Required Education: LCSW, LMHC, PsyD, PhD in social work or Psychology.
Required Experience: Post-graduate experience in crisis response, college mental health, short-term counseling, and group therapy preferred. Experience working with diverse student populations required. Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and experience working with underrepresented populations including but not limited to Islamic and BIPOC identified individuals required. NY State license or eligibility (limited permit).
