Position Summary

The selected candidate will cultivate and solicit primarily major gifts ($100,000+) from alumni and friends of NYU School of Law to support priority programs and initiatives. S/he will also identify and prioritize a portfolio of prospects and develop appropriate strategies to secure gifts; and collaborate with alumni and annual giving teams to develop programs that engage and motivate major gift donors. Solicit gifts through face-to-face visits and direct/individual Zoom, phone, and email solicitations.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:

4-6 years' relevant experience. Must include experience in fundraising, and cultivation and stewardship of donors.

Preferred Experience:
Fundraising experience at a college or university.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent writing, public speaking, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to conduct professional presentations via phone and in person. Ability to take initiative and collaborate with others.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
