Position Summary

The School of Professional Studies (SPS) seeks an individual to serve as the Associate Director of graduate degree and continuing education programs for the Public Relations and Corporate Communications programs in the Division of Programs in Business (DPB). They will develop and oversee all administrative processes and procedures including semester course schedules, faculty onboarding, appointments and compensation. Contribute to the development of a strategic plan and conduct competitive analyses for degree and continuing education programs. Manage administrative processes to provide support for new program roll out, academic planning, course and curriculum development. Manage adjunct faculty recruitment, evaluation and promotion processes. Prepare degree program budgets and income and expense projections. Supervise staff.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years managerial experience or equivalent combination in higher education. Must have a student-centered service attitude, a collaborative approach to working with faculty, and be able to work well with a multi-cultural community of faculty and students.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Must be able to work well in a changing environment and practice creative problem solving. Ability to create and improve administrative processes, Plan and implement special programs, and develop retention strategies. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
