The Assistant Director of Admissions and Enrollment Operations will assist the Associate Director of Admissions with the strategic management of the admissions process and operations. The incumbent will support enrollment and admissions process management, application review and verification, student advisement, and other core functions of the admissions cycle. Contribute to increased enrollment by: a) overseeing the application processing lifecycle from application review to enrollment; b) implementing the processes and systems needed to support data imports and exports (including applications and test scores); c) advising and counseling prospective graduate students on financial aid options, admissions requirements, and application procedures; c) evaluating and assessing student applications to determine if applicant fits the desired student profile and whether or not the student would have a successful and positive academic experience; d) participating in recruiting efforts, such as on- and off-site information sessions and yield events; e) establishing and implementing operational workflow improvements; create processes and policy for the enrollment function; f) ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data related to student admissions and enrollment within all relevant application management systems; g) supervising and training student and temporary employees to support admissions operations; and h) managing the temporary staff budget and assisting with budget forecasting and development.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree Master's degree in Public Administration, Education, Counseling or related fields is preferred.
Required Experience: 5+ years 4 - 5 years related experience in admissions, operations management, enrollment, advising, or student services.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: This position requires excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills as well as strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Must be able to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies with a high degree of customer service orientation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to acquire technical and functional proficiency with new software applications.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge or personal experience with graduate-level coursework is desired. Previous experience with educational databases such as Slate and/or HTML or CSS is a plus.
