As part of the Global and Institutional Engagement team, the incumbent will develop, implement, and manage effective strategies for prospect/donor identification, qualification, outreach, cultivation, and stewardship. The candidate will coordinate prospect cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities with appropriate internal departments both within UDAR and across NYU. Responsibilities include reviewing and proposing donor identification strategies, as well as cultivation and solicitation strategies for individual prospects and campaign strategies. In addition to prospect identification and maintenance, the incumbent will help plan overseas and domestic trips and events, arranging materials, confirming appointments, and arranging relevant travel. The incumbent will also provide administrative support for the Executive Director and assist with the management and stewardship of the President’s Global Council and relevant special projects associated with the Council and the Executive Director.
2+ years of development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years experience in an academic, non-profit, and/or development environment
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to professionally interact with all levels of students, staff, faculty, and outside groups. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Familiarity with presentation software and desktop publishing applications
