  • Position Summary

    The Graduate School of Arts and Science is seeking an experienced and dedicated Associate Dean. This individual will develop and implement academic and enrollment strategies and admissions and financial aid policies and procedures at the graduate level by conferring with divisional deans, department chairs, and senior University officers. Oversee fiscal management and reporting of more than $80 million in financial aid funds and oversee all aspects of the MacCracken Fellowship Program. Collaborate with GSAS Dean on developing budgets and business strategies; interpreting University, school and government administrative policies and procedures; advising the Dean on day-to-day operations and strategic planning; serving as primary administrative liaison with FAS Administration. Oversee Graduate Enrollment Services(GES), which processes more than 15,000 applications annually, trains and advises administrators and faculty in more than 50 departments, oversees GES administration and operating budget.


    Required Education:
    Master's Degree

    Required Experience:
    5+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience in an admissions office or academic setting. Must include experience with student services, financial aid, and supervisory experience.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide leadership and strategic planning. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
