The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Risk Analyst will report to the Executive Director, Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management. The Risk Analyst will facilitate NYU's ERM program in accordance with the University's ERM methodology. The Risk Analyst will support the execution of the enterprise risk assessment, coordinate with management to develop and track mitigating activities and will assess the effectiveness of management's strategies to mitigate top risks. In addition, the Risk Analyst will partner with other risk monitoring functions to assess other risk management activities and will collaborate with local ERM resources at NYU Abu Dhabi and NYU Shanghai to ensure a consistent global ERM approach.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Risk Management, Finance or Management; MBA; Certifications in Risk Management (e.g. CRMA), Compliance
Required Experience:
2+ years experience in advisory, risk management (includes audit, risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk).
Preferred Experience:
Experience with: assessing risk, development of risk mitigation and recovery planning, and business process improvements. Confidence and presence to lead meetings with internal and external parties. Experience working in Higher Education, healthcare or global organization a plus.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficient in business processes and related risks and controls; knowledgeable in compliance and regulatory requirements at the Federal State and Local Levels across key compliance areas. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels at NYU. Business acumen and strong analytical skills and critical thinking. Detail oriented and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Information Technology and risks, and business process management.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of COSO and ISO 9000 ERM methodologies
