  • Position Summary

    Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) is a nursing education and consultation program designed to improve geriatric care in healthcare organizations. The NICHE program of NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing provides resources for nursing and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals for the care of older adult patients.

    We are currently seeking a Leadership Training Program Coordinator to join our team.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Leadership Training Program (LTP) and respond to all internal and external inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs.
    • Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems.
    • Track enrollment, participation, and successful completion of program participants using multiple databases. Assist with efforts to maximize efficiency and improve processes.
    • Customize and/or compose communications on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets.
    • Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions.


    Required Education:
    High School diploma or equivalent.

    Preferred Education:
    Bachelor’s Degree

    Required Experience:
    3 years of office experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service.

    Preferred Experience:
    Experience in a nonprofit environment.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Good proofreading and writing skills. Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
