  • Position Summary

    This role is a key member of the Office of Global Inclusion and is responsible for the coordination of all functions and activities of these offices. The candidate will provide direction for the SVP's strategic planning initiatives, all scheduling, the office's budget and financial planning, and special projects as assigned. The incumbent will manage and advise the SVP and office staff on day-to-day operations ensuring efficiency and effectiveness and optimizing use of available resources. The role calls for interaction and coordination with the heads of the division and monitors linkages with the President’s Office and other senior administrative officers to ensure responsiveness. Oversight for all ongoing projects supporting the SVP's agenda to ensure that all are effectively moving according to planned objectives and established milestones and measurement criteria.


    Required Education:

    Bachelor's degree


    Preferred Education: 

    Master's degree

    Required Experience:
    5+ years progressively responsible experience in academic or business administration or an equivalent combination. Must include experience managing office operations and staff, planning and implementing special events and activities, and collecting and analyzing data.

    Preferred Experience:

    Preferred experience interacting with analytical teams driven by deadlines. Media and technology savvy. 

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    Ability to handle high volume work and to multitask. Ability to problem solve.  Ability to develop, implement and interpret policies and procedures.  Operational and staff supervision. Excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Strong research, writing, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels. Strong working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications. Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Ability to navigate complex organizational situations.
