  • Position Summary

    This is a grant funded position that will provide high-level support for the College of Dentistry’s Bronx school-based cavity prevention dental program. The Associate Director, Clinical Research Program will collaborate in protocol development, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, supervise research activities for over 60 New York City schools, submit IRB submissions, implement quality control processes, ensure data integrity and prepare standard operating procedures. In addition, this position will serve as liaison between faculty, research investigators, and participants in all administrative matters related to management of this study. The incumbent will ensure that all guidelines and protocols for the project are followed. This position will manage a project budget of approximately $21 million dollars.


    Required Education:
    BS or BA required

    Preferred Education:
    MPH, MPA, MBA or RDH desirable

    Required Experience:
    7 or more years' relevant clinical research administration and quality control/quality assurance or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Preferred Experience:
    Experience in supervising research personnel in an academic or research environment. Track record of building relationships between public and private organizations and universities, as well as experience managing university-based programs.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Excellent interpersonal, written, organizational, project management, financial and problem solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate information to a diverse population at all levels. Proficiency in Windows-based computer software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; as well as databases. Knowledge of GCP guidelines for human subject research. Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations for Human Subjects.
