  • Position Summary

    New York University Student Health Center (SHC), a national leader in college health services, serves to enhance the health and well being of the NYU community by providing and promoting high quality and accessible treatment, prevention and education—including Primary Care, Counseling Services, Health Promotion, Wellness Services, and broad clinical/specialty care services.    
     
    Our AAAHC accredited organization serves the Washington Square and Brooklyn locations and acts as a hub for health and wellness activities around the globe for students attending NYU at one of our many study away sites. With over 200 employees dedicated to providing high-quality, student-centered healthcare, NYU has been a leader in nationally recognized continuous quality improvement efforts and for providing fully integrated healthcare to our students.  
     

    Direct NYU Student Health Center Insurance and Billing Services. Oversee operations and activities including developing and implementing policies to ensure quality cost-effective services, maximize income and revenue collection and maintain high Customer Service.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Business related area

    Preferred Education:
    MBA with concentration in insurance, finance or healthcare administration.

    Required Experience:
    4 years relevant experience overseeing insurance and billing activities and staff supervision.

    Preferred Experience:
    Student Health insurance, billing and collections experience in a large academic or healthcare institution. Active membership in a related professional association.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Excellent management, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication and strategic planning skills. Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve problems. Proficiency in PC based information systems.
