The Director of Investment Operations is expected to work closely with the Managing Director, Investment Operations, and Senior Investment Operations Analyst in executing day-to-day operational activities for the office. The Director of Investment Operations is responsible for accounting, valuation and performance reporting, portfolio analytics, information and documentation control, operational risk management, and asset allocation support. Perform advanced investment analytics and develop Investment Committee materials. Serve as the liaison between the investment and operations teams through the investment manager implementation process, providing status updates to leadership. Work closely with the custodian bank, investment managers and administrators, and other University departments including the Treasurer’s Office and Office of General Counsel.
Provide the first level of customer service to patients of the University Health Center clinic, from greeting and routing patients to record maintenance and cashier duties. Maintain patient appointment books.
Arts & Science is seeking a dedicated Budget Assistant for the Center for Neural Science. This individual will coordinate the preparation of budget reports, contracts and grants. Maintain complex financial and budgetary spreadsheets; record expenditures and/or payments ensuring they are posted to proper accounts, apply calculations to data and tabulate. Establish financial records and files and ensure that they are maintained and updated on an ongoing basis. Initiate and respond to various types of inquiries regarding financial policies, procedures, deadlines, etc. May assign and review work of and train a small group of student and/or casual employees.
Provide a broad range of HR services to support School of Global Public Health (SGPH) faculty, staff and student employees. Administer the intake of HR queries through phone and SGPH HR email box to ensure responsive, timely and accurate information and processing. Position will have knowledge of HR policies, procedures and systems (Workday), and exercise professionalism, attention to detail, and sound judgment in responding to routine, moderately complex and confidential inquiries. Coordinate the Adjunct processing between SGPH departments, SGPH Academic Affairs and SGPH Human Resources. Support visa processing, as well as recruitment efforts including coordination of the interview process, conducting phone screens and initiating background checks. Plan and coordinate various special events including monthly SGPH Administrative Support Network (ASN) meetings, and Annual Service Awards. Position will operate within a process improvement mindset to identify and implement changes/improvements necessary to improve SGPH HR service delivery and efficiency. Please note this is a 12-month fixed-term position.
The Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW) is a center for advanced scholarly research and graduate education with a multi-disciplinary, multi-regional academic community dedicated to the study of the ancient world. To support these efforts, ISAW has an extensive roster of in-person and online public programming, outreach initiatives, and internal events (including academic lectures, conferences, lunchtime talks, and workshops).
ISAW is seeking an Administrative Aide II that is a talented, organized and proactive team-player. This individual will provide support for the activities of the Administrative and Events team. Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Prioritize office activities and delegate work to student and/or casual employees. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems. Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets. Monitor complex department budgets and/or grants. During the fall and spring semester, event support requires evening hours on one or at most two days per week.
