  • Position Summary

    Reporting to the Executive Director, direct the administrative operations of the Center for Student Life including direct supervision of professional and student staff, the delivery of services, and the use of new technologies. Oversee Club Life and all its components, student media organizations departmental communication and marketing efforts, club financial services, and the implementation of OrgSync/NYU Engage. Develop, implement, and advise on policies, regarding recognition, registration, and financial spending for clubs and organizations. Advise committees of the Student Government Assembly (i.e. Student Activities Board, Conference Funding Committee) in developing processes and standards for club life policies and financial operations. Manage strategic projects and events as assigned by the Executive Director. Advise student clubs and organizations. Hire, train and supervise professional and graduate student staff. Manage departmental budgets. Represent the Center for Student Life and the Executive Director as needed on committees and at meetings


    Required Education:
    Master's in Student Personnel Administration or similar degree.

    Preferred Education:
    Masters in Higher Education Administration or related degree

    Required Experience:
    Minimum of 7 years relevant professional experience in a student affairs environment advising clubs, implementing and coordinating training for new technologies, making presentations, supervising staff, managing budgets or equivalent combination.

    Preferred Experience:
    7 - 10 years of relevant professional experience in a student affairs environment. Experience with student organizations, emerging technologies, administrative and facilities management.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Strong organizational, written and verbal skills. Ability to work with a large, diverse population inside and outside the University. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of standard office software.

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Knowledge of web-based applications, university budget and finance systems.
