Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development (ED1084)
This position will manage key administrative operations for the department including budgeting, and will be responsible for developing internal procurement procedures, tracking all contracts, and providing recommendations to the Steinhardt Finance team, as well as other administrative units. Manage department events, including conferences, lecture series, talks, roundtables, etc. Serves as the sole procurement officer responsible for the direction, coordination, and compliance of all procurement activities for hardware and software at NYU Steinhardt. Work with department admins, research centers, and administrative groups to plan the purchasing of hardware and software for faculty, staff, and researchers. Manage an ongoing analysis on the I.T. help center, ticketing system, budget, and other University Data. Create reports and make recommendations based on findings that can be shared with the Chief Information Officer and Steinhardt Leadership.
Required Education: BA/BS

Required Experience: 2-3 years' experience managing operations and unit members within a department; managing budgets and expenditures; and serving as administrative liaison with other organizational offices at all levels of a complex institution.
Preferred Experience: Experience in a University setting preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation. Ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars, including budget management. Demonstrated use of business application software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
