  • Position Summary

    Working collaboratively with College of Global Public Health (CGPH) academic programs leadership, ensure the smooth operation of Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences programs (including graduate and undergraduate academic programming), plan, coordinate and lead recruitment activities for the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences in collaboration with other academic programs within the College of Global Public Health. Plan, develop, and implement new and existing Social and Behavioral Sciences programs and programming infrastructure in support of the College’s academic mission. Assist Department Chair in the daily administration of all academic activities, including office procedures, oversight of student databases, and ensuring the effective management of department admission process. Coordinate international travel logistics for students and faculty participating in CGPH Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences programs, courses, and events. Counsel and advise students on program and degree requirements. Meet with prospective students, attend and coordinate recruitment events. Supervise student office staff.


    Required Education:
    Bachelor’s degree with concentration or course work in public health, business administration, higher education, or related field.

    Preferred Education:
    Master’s degree in public health, higher education, management, or related fields.

    Required Experience:
    3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience administering global or academic programs.

    Preferred Experience:
    Experience working with faculty and students in a higher education institution.

    Ability to communicate policies and procedures to a diverse group. Excellent organizational and problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and organization skills. Ability to solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Ability to work and communicate with diverse stakeholders. Strong teamwork abilities. Attention to detail with ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of diverse cultures and customs. Must have the ability to travel internationally, including the ability to obtain appropriate passport and visa documents for travel to and from the United States.

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Proficiency in a foreign language.
