Manage daily operations of the Wellness Services unit of the Student Health Center including arranging staff schedules to provide adequate and appropriate staffing of the Wellness Exchange hot-line and walk-in counseling clinic and negotiating and monitoring after-hours support and 24/7 crisis response program. Develop and implement a variety of health education programs regarding mental health issues and sexual misconduct issues and conduct training sessions. Prepare reports regarding hotline and walk-in utilization and primary presenting problems and implement changes to increase effectiveness of services. Collect and report on data from multiple NYU offices regarding sexual misconduct cases. Conduct on-line, telephone, and in-person clinical assessment of students experiencing emotional or psychological problems; counsel students one-on-one and/or on a group basis and in consultation with Director, provide appropriate referrals to internal University departments and external services. Evaluate students' needs to develop and implement support groups and other related intervention strategies. Meet with student groups interested in working on sexual misconduct issues and organize appropriate projects for them.
Master's degree in Social Work and LCSW or Master's degree in Nursing in Psychiatry
5 years relevant experience in post-masters clinical case management, developing and implementing health education programs and supervising staff.
Supervisory experience in counseling setting.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with research on mental health needs of college students including suicide prevention. Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
