Under the supervision of the Dean and in partnership with the university’s central finance, budget, facilities, and IT divisions serve as the financial officer of the Division of Libraries, including the Libraries, Archives, Classroom Media Support, Television and Media Services, and the NYU Press. This role has primary responsibility for financial compliance, financial planning and analysis, capital and expense accounting, internal operations, and business process for the Division of Libraries.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 7+ years' experience managing fiscal affairs, including financial analysis and planning, and budget and account monitoring, preferably in a non-profit or educational organization. Demonstrated effectiveness in staff supervision, and in the development of financial control processes.
Preferred Experience: Previous work managing budgets for capital projects. Experience in an educational/non-profit institution.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Exceptional analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of ability to work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a senior management team. Proficiency with word processing, database and spreadsheet software. Knowledge of financial laws, principles, rules and policies.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: High proficiency in understanding, interpreting and developing financial reports.
