  • Position Summary

    Resolve complex catalogue maintenance problems within the Research and Online Services department of the Law Library; assign call numbers, perform binding, assist Library patrons searching for and checking out materials, process library materials, and provide general clerical support. May assign and review the work of and train a small number of student and/or casual employees engaged in routine tasks.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    High School diploma or equivalent.

    Preferred Education:
    Associate's degree.

    Required Experience:
    2 years of related experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service.

    Preferred Experience:
    1 year of related experience (with Associate's degree). Experience in a large public or University library. Research experience.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Proficiency with the operation and maintenance of basic library equipment (e.g., photocopy machine, microform reader). Proficiency with intermediate-level word processing and database software. Knowledge of and ability to update, edit, and search a variety of online library databases and use internet search engines.

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
