  • Position Summary

    Reporting to the Oral Health Center Director, this position will be responsible for the day to day activities and workflow of the department including the administrative, nursing, social work areas of the Center. Primary areas of responsibility include oversight of patient care coordination and workflow, providing training to department staff on new policies/procedures related to patients with disabilities, liaising with multiple internal departments and medical centers/practices, couriers and vendors. Serve as knowledge expert in the coordination of care for patients with disabilities. Make recommendations to departmental policies/procedures and ensure staff is in compliance.


    Required Education:
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

    Preferred Education:
    Master’s in Healthcare Administration

    Required Experience:
    5 years’ relevant experience in healthcare setting including experience with patients with disabilities or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Preferred Experience:
    Experience with patients with craniofacial conditions; familiarity or knowledge of dental specialties. Experience in a large dental clinic operation.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to problem solve, multi-task and effectively communicate with healthcare providers and patients. Possess excellent organizational skills and be patient service oriented. Must have a comprehensive understanding of how to oversee the coordination of care in a multidisciplinary patient care center. Knowledge of medical/dental terminology, diagnoses and understanding of multiple treatment modalities,

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Familiarity with Article 28 and related health protocols. Evaluation and detailed understanding of trends within the dental/medical community.
