Provide technical media support services to the NYU community including equipment repair and installation, study-room and printer support, and maintenance of equipment inventory. Operate a wide variety of media equipment including specialized equipment requiring significant training. Operate equipment during special events. Assist with pre-installation or pre-event surveys and consultations, discussing with customers their media needs and media capabilities and advising them on the equipment that would best meet those needs. Perform routine maintenance and basic repair of equipment.
The scheduled hours for this position are M-F 2-10pm.
High School diploma or equivalent and some relevant technical training.
Relevant technical background and/or certification.
1 to 2 years of related experience. Experience providing customer support.
Experience providing related technical support in a high volume environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to operate a wide variety of media equipment. Ability to operate basic office equipment. Ability to work both independently and in a group setting. Ability to take initiative.
