Manage department operations for Design for Stage and Film. Provide administrative and operational support to assist Administrative Director with accomplishing academic and programmatic goals. Manage and administer the process for departmental registration. Manage special projects including departmental-wide initiatives. Supervise office and student worker staff. Administer operating budget.
3 years related experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience managing office operations, planning and coordinating various activities, projects, and events, and developing and implementing office policies and procedures and supporting senior level administration. Experience managing budgets, and supervising staff. Must have theater experience.
Stage management or Theater administration. Familiarity with the professional design community.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with distinguished visitors, faculty, and students. Proven ability to direct and implement a variety of operations and activities, to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels and use problem solving and negotiating skills. Knowledge of standard office software including PowerPoint and online and traditional information databases.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Advanced computer skills negotiating different computer/database systems, Photoshop and web-based software
