Lead design, development, and implementation of clinical informatics projects in the clinical affairs division. Direct day-to-day activity of the Clinical Information Systems team in support of patient care and clinical education. Partner with Clinical Services, Department Chairs, Information Technology and others to ensure optimal activity and function of the electronic health record and other applications which impact the College.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Informatics, Computer Sciences, Engineering or related field
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in related field.
Required Experience: 7-10 years of hands on experience working with Health Information Technology (HIT) systems such as EHR, EMR, practice management, preferably in an academic health center or dental setting.
Preferred Experience: Management of health information systems department, especially related to dentistry and dental education.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff. Detail oriented. Knowledgeable in project management methodology. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of information technology, clinical knowledge, and administrative management skills. Ability to analyze data and efficacy of EHR systems. Familiarity with Crystal Reports, Oracle PLSQL and Oracle DB concepts. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills, strong planning and supervisory skills are essential.
