  • Position Summary

    Arts and Science is seeking an experienced Program Administrator to join the Center for Quantum Phenomena (CQP). This individual will provide administrative support to the CQP within the Department of Physics. Accountability for post-award grant activities; assist with new faculty, research scientist, and postdoctoral fellow recruitment. Supervise the CQP visitor program. Develop and implement office policies and procedures for CQP. Administer budget (including grants), prepare annual and interim reports, analyze trends, and projections.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree.

    Preferred Education:
    Accounting classes taken

    Required Experience:
    2 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with overseeing office and program activities, administering budgets.

    Preferred Experience:
    Pre & Post Grant funding experience.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. High degree of competence in budgeting and accounting. Resourcefulness and good judgement. The ability to prioritize a complex and challenging mix of duties effectively. Willingness to take responsibility and the capacity to function well with minimal oversight.
