College of Global Public Health (WS2229)
Represent NYU’s Global Institute of Public Health (GIPH) to potential students at on-campus and off-campus recruitment events. Advise prospective undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students on application process, GIPH programs, academic requirements, financial aid options, housing, and other student services to ensure a successful transition to NYU. Develop and cultivate positive relationships with students with the goal of promoting serious interest in GIPH programs and to encourage a positive impression of NYU’s GIPH and all of its offerings. In conjunction with the Director, manage application evaluation and assessment throughout admission cycle.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Education: Master of Public Health degree is preferred, although not required
Required Experience: 2 years’ admissions or related student services experience.
Preferred Experience: Admissions experience in a school or program of public health is preferred, although not required
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to promote the University and to work independently as well as part of a team. Outstanding interpersonal, public speaking, and writing skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations and/or people. Valid driver’s license. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and to travel extensively. Ability to market diverse programs and serve as a liaison between admissions and academic program officers.
