Manage operations for assigned production area including schedules, operations, production builds and facilities. Plan and supervise skilled work in support of student and faculty productions. Provide technical and creative assistance. Train, supervise and evaluate staff.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Technical Production
Required Experience: 2 years' relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience in planning and building scenery, delivering student instruction, and staff supervision.
Preferred Experience: Experience in academic or instructional setting. Welding experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Excellent drafting and rigging skills Ability to provide technical training to non-technical audience. Experience working with directors, designers and theatrical productions. Ability to read designs, schematics, construction blueprints and plans. Working knowledge of of current computer drafting software, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Familiarity with scenic painting techniques and theatrical properties. USITT and/or United Scenic Artist membership. Knowledge of AutoCad drafting program.
