Academic Advisor to join Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department. This position will advise students in CSE department on academic programs, policies and procedures, transfer credits, students on probation, and will make recommendations when appropriate. This position will create/implement enrichment and retention programs for departmental students. The academic advisor will also assist the coordinator of academic advising in related duties.
Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, or other appropriate field.
2 years' relevant experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience advising students at the college or university level.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of standard office software. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
