The Assistant Manager, Ticketing Services position is responsible for setting up and coordinating ticket sales for internal campus events at multiple locations (other than Skirball). He/She will oversee the NYC events resale program within the NYU Box Office powered by Skirball. He/She will be responsible for maintaining internal financial and accounting audits and reconciliation for all sales activity. He/She also supports the University Box Office Manager and Assistant Manager for events at Skirball as needed.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Required Experience: 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience working within a box office, supervising staff, and working in a fast-paced environment with high-profile clients.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Exceptional leadership, administrative, and problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, sales and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and maintain attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to perform ticket and revenue accounting and implement audit systems. Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and word processing. Proficiency with web site updating and social media. Familiarity with the NYC entertainment industry. Occasionally required to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Familiarity with Box Office software (Tessitura). Sales experience. A history of working with, supervising and motivating student staff.
