  • Position Summary

    Support of third party tools integrated within NYU’s Digital Learning Environment to serve the teaching and learning needs of the university. Manage the quality, progress, and lifecycle of third-party tools which are components developed and distributed by outside vendors. Provide consultative and project-based support for the use of these tools for teaching and learning. Assess overall use of third-party tools and help guide strategic planning efforts. Is responsible for parts of an eLearning services portfolio. *This position may participate the rotation of weekend and evening support.


    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree in educational media, instructional technology, project management, technology management, or related field.

    Preferred Education:
    Master's degree in educational media, instructional technology or related field strongly preferred.

    Required Experience:
    3+ years relevant professional experience in higher education or corporate training.

    Preferred Experience:
    3 or more years relevant professional experience in higher education.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Knowledge of product lifecycle management processes and techniques. Experience supporting faculty and students in the use of learning management systems such as Sakai, Blackboard, Moodle, and/or Canvas; audience response systems such as Turning Point and iClickers; web conferencing tools such as WebEx or Zoom; and lecture capture applications such as Panopto or Mediasite. Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain high levels of creativity and quality. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to be flexible in work assignments that may require changing priorities regularly. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines, stay on track, and communicate workflow obstacles while working on multiple ongoing projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail. Self- starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation. Ability to be proactive, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and work with little supervision. A positive, cooperative attitude that supports the university and its mission.

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Participating in the management of a portfolio of enterprise applications used to support teaching and learning in a higher education environment. Experience teaching college level courses. Experience with vendor and contract management. Project management experience.
