Manage academic, administrative and business operations for the Tisch School of Arts (TSOA) Department of Graduate Acting to ensure effective delivery of academic services, effective use of academic resources, including classroom scheduling, to support curriculum, and efficient office operations. Manage a variety of complex departmental academic processes. Manage departmental budget and preparation of financial reports. Manage annual showcase presentations; coordinate and advise students on professional representation. Supervise assistant(s). Act as administrative liaison with Theatrical Production department and other school and University offices; interpret and apply University policies to plan and manage highly complex administrative matters.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education: MFA in theater Management
Required Experience: 4 years' of increasingly responsible administrative experience (e.g., managing administrative services/processes, budgets, and staff) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: Previous experience in academic and/or performing arts environment; note: this is a position supervising the department’s academic needs; production needs are referred to a complementary but separate department.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent planning, management, networking, and presentation skills. Ability to negotiate solutions to contain problems and persuade others when some differences of opinion may exist. Knowledge of standard office software.
