The Associate Dean for Administration will be responsible for overseeing and directing several central administrative operations related to general administration at the College of Dentistry, including managing compliance with federal and state health laws and regulations, managing the facilities including space renovations and rehabilitations, space allocations, managing major equipment purchases and managing public safety and business continuity. This person will also manage a set of highly visible special projects and activities that relate to the College’s strategic initiatives.
Bachelor's degree required;
Graduate or professional degree
7-10 years progressively responsible experience in academic or healthcare administration, preferably in a complex, matrix organization such as an academic center or a research university or an equivalent combination.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Exceptional interpersonal and self-management skills. Ability to work cooperatively, strategically and tactfully in a team environment with the faculty and with all levels of professional, technical, and administrative staff. Strong managerial skills, ability to plan and manage multiple diverse projects and excellent writing and communication skills.
