  • Position Summary

    Arts and Science is seeking a talented Web Developer to join the Office of Interactive Communications. This individual will administer and create websites for Arts and Science. Manage school's web content management system (CMS), web-server accounts and users. Modify and develop existing web applications to meet new demands. Provide daily support to CMS user community to resolve technical and non-technical issues. Establish priorities and independently resolve routine and non-routine technical matters. Consult with Information Technology Services when necessary; serve as advisor to Directors, Administrators, and Department Heads on related matters. Recommend and implement new technologies to meet service needs. Present needs of departments to vendors.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree.

    Required Experience:
    4 years' related experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience with developing and maintaining dynamic web applications, managing a CMS, administering access and security, and training staff in the CMS.

    Preferred Experience:
    Experience in a higher academic environment and with operating systems.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Excellent planning, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Ability to monitor and analyze web site problems. Knowledge of HTML language, CSS, Java, Javascript, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS preferred. Ability to work with Google Analytics reporting tools. Solid understanding of web usability and accessibility. Knowledge of a variety of current and emerging technologies.
