  • Position Summary

    The Director of Education & Opportunity Programs will deliver a robust professional and executive education program that will provide skills and ideas to professionals who seek to explore opportunities with emerging virtual and augmented reality technologies. The Director will be responsible for building a revenue-generating, entrepreneurial set of programs, courses, workshops. Additionally, the Director will run a program to ensure students of the Center as well as from participating partner institutions have access to internships, jobs and project opportunities at the Center’s startup companies and with its corporate members. The Director will institute effective practices in formal and informal executive and professional education, lead the development of a network of adjunct faculty, instructors, and professional lecturers, create a plan for instructor evaluation and preparation, and conduct marketing, communications and necessary outreach to build a pipeline of program participants. The Director will build a program to connect students of the Center and its partner institutions with career opportunities. The successful candidate will have prior experience in building successful professional educational programs, such as expertise in the areas of curriculum development, fund-raising, budgeting, and strategic planning.


    Required Education:
    Bachelor’s degree required

    Preferred Education:
    Master’s preferred

    Required Experience:
    Experience with education programming and curriculum development for technical subjects. Budget and project planning expertise

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    A demonstrated ability to lead and energize multidisciplinary work teams including contractors and adjunct instructors to respond to needs and get results. A strong commitment to supporting professionals and entrepreneurs. Excellent communication skills, including computer and interpersonal skills.
