NYU's prestigious Leonard N. Stern School of Business has an exceptional and challenging opportunity for an Assistant Director, Executive MBA Admissions. The Assistant Director will assist with recruitment and admissions for Stern’s Executive Programs, including: developing and implementing admissions policies and procedures; reading applications and evaluating applicant credentials against admissions requirements; interviewing applicants; developing marketing strategies to attract students, including designing publications; presenting at recruitment and yield events and advising prospective students. The selected candidate will maintain a graduate admissions database and supervise the execution of complex queries and custom reports for the Director. Additional responsibilities include: assistance with special events, researching and benchmarking peer institutions, and assistance with the preparation of the annual budget.
Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or other business-related discipline and 3 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination. Experience in admissions, recruitment, or other related student services area, supervising staff, and administering budgets is essential; experience in a professional services environment in a for-profit business is preferred. Must have excellent written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, advise students and resolve problems is essential. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications is required.
